We are truly grateful to all of our friends and family that will be able to make the trip to the Big Island. A few individuals are even taking on special roles; their hours of planning and preparation are priceless.

Rachel and Martina crossed paths during their time competing as high performance triathletes. In no time they went from friendly competitors to great friends and will be rekindling their triathlon glory days at the pre-wedding day Honu triathlon.
Maid of Honor and MC: Christine Storey

Christine and Martina have been best friends since high school (the 1990’s!) They remained close through university where Martina spent many nights crashing in Christine’s dorm room at UBC. They are always up for new adventures, like doing Ironman Canada on a whim with only a few months to train. Christine now practices family and estates law at her firm in Victoria where she lives with her husband Johnathan.
Best Man: Jeff Lockwood

Jeff is Greg’s younger brother and only sibling. After a childhood spent hanging out together in the Ontario countryside due to a lack of options, they grew to genuinely enjoy spending time together and have developed a bond that only brothers know. Highlights include a backpacking adventure through Australia and New Zealand and a road trip to Las Vegas to play in the World Series of Poker. Jeff’s career is in law enforcement and he calls Oshawa, Ontario home where he lives with his wife Hayley.
Flower Girl: Eleanor Polak

Eleanor is the daughter of Greg’s close friend Jason. After spending several consecutive Thanksgivings with the Polak family, Greg eventually earned the title of “Mayor of Greg City” from Eleanor, one of his greatest life achievements. In our opinion, Eleanor is the Mayor of Awesomeness. Greg and Eleanor share many common interests, including dressing up for marathons. Eleanor lives in Calgary with Jason, her mother Jackie and little bro Sully.
Ring Boy: Liam Wan

Liam is Martina’s only nephew and holds a special place in her heart. Liam is an intelligent, athletic and caring boy who shares Martina’s passion for running, snowshoeing and Legos. Liam lives in North Vancouver with his Dad (and Martina’s brother) Jason, his mom Erin and little sister Clara.
